ETHNO club at IEA

The Ethno Club at IEA was opened on April 29, 2022 in front of the lower building of the PMF, in the presence of employees and students from the entire faculty, with a large donation campaign and a concert by the student band The Rolling Etnos. All equipment (tables, chairs, lounge chairs, bar, etc.) was donated by individuals, companies and catering facilities in Skopje.

 

Activities

Screening of the documentary film "We're All Going to Die" by Saško Potter Micevski with an outdoor discussion (Friday 13th 2022).

 

Screening of the documentary film " Solčence zahaja" (script by Ana Hoffman, directed by Stefan Krasić) with a discussion (May 20, 2022)

 

Workshop with Prof. Takeshi Matsunaga, Japanese language lecturer, on making traditional Japanese bean sweets - wagashi (June 14, 2022)

 

Workshop "Save electricity - knit kalčunki" with Ilina Gajtanoska (10 years old), 14.10.2022

 

Bird watching (bird observation and learning about them) in cooperation with the Research Society of Biologists Students, PMF courtyard and Gazi Baba Park with playing the board game "Wingspan" (May 19, 2023)

Game-debate "Lifeboat" - an apocalyptic scenario according to which the Earth, which is on the verge of collapse, is abandoned by a spaceship with only one place for a UKIM student who will show that their discipline is most needed on the new planet.

Participating teams from PMF - IEA, Institute of Chemistry, Institute of Geography; Faculty of Dramatic Arts (winners by secret ballot); Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, special guest from the Faculty of Business and Management in Maribor (14.02.2023 International Anthropology Day)

 

Opening of the second season of the Ethno Club with "Cherry Blossom" - planting a cherry tree in collaboration with students of biology and the Faculty of Agriculture; writing and reading haiku (Macedonian, Greek, English, Japanese); concert with folk songs about herbs and plants; viewing cherry blossoms under a microscope in collaboration with the Botanical Garden (31.03.2023)

 

Ethnological Secret Santa (gift exchange according to the "Kula" principle in the Trobriand Islands), Dew Flower social room (25.12.2023)

 

Lecture and listening session - "It's one thing to be happy, it's another to be satisfied: social aspects of global and domestic hip-hop" by Igor Antov, master's student in the program in International Political Theory at the University of Hamburg, Germany (April 2024).
